Schools told close all buildings containing problem concrete

The government has ordered schools to shut down outdated lightweight concrete (RAAC) buildings unless safety measures are in place. Over 100 schools have been contacted, and the Department for Education advised schools to vacate and restrict spaces containing RAAC. The National Audit Office warned of a “very likely and critical” risk of injury or death from a school building collapse.
