UKGBC have decided to use the momentum of COP28 to launch two new pieces of research. The first is a ‘Progress Report’ against UKGBC’s Net Zero Whole Life Carbon Roadmap, providing insight into actual emissions reduction across the sector over the previous 4 years, and how this compares to the WLC Roadmap’s pathway to net zero. This is launching on Thursday 6th December on COP28 Buildings Day, and you can sign up to the launch event here.
The second is a bespoke scorecard of the UK’s Third National Adaptation Plan (NAP3) to assess how well we are investing in climate resilience and adapting to our already severely and rapidly changing climate. The UKGBC assessment covers a range of key climate resilience priorities including flooding, overheating, and water supply, and informs the development of their forthcoming Climate Resilience Roadmap. The scorecard will launch during the second week of COP.
