Bridging the retrofit skills gap: £8m is a start, not a Solution

The UK government’s £8 million Warm Homes Skills Programme (WHSP) is a welcome step towards upskilling the retrofit workforce, but it falls short compared to the £600m invested in general construction skills. Despite its importance to net zero and improving aging homes, retrofit remains largely absent from mainstream education.
