Department of Transport merges rail developers to build 40,000 homes on disused brownfield

The Government has launched Platform4, a new company merging London and Continental Railways with Network Rail’s Property Team to transform disused railway land in Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, and Cambridge. The initiative will deliver 40,000 homes, green spaces, and commercial sites, generating £227m in value and reinvesting profits into rail services. Led by Bek Seeley, Platform4 aims to accelerate brownfield regeneration and support economic growth.
