Energy saving comfort.
This is the Theben promise to our customers. It started with the first staircase time switch, developed by the company founder Paul Schwenk back in 1921. 100 years later and it continues to apply to all our products, such as our presence and motion detectors as well as our class leading KNX building automation products.
That is 100 years of being at the forefront of building automation, it really is part of our history.
KNX is the worldwide standard for home and building control, and is now an integral part of modern building automation in schools, hospitals, museums, offices and homes. KNX provides a comprehensive and energy efficient control solution for HVAC, lighting, blinds and much more. It is the core of the building management system with full IP compatibility and being highly secure.
Theben has been a member of the KNX Association since 1992 and has made a significant contribution to the development of KNX, and it underlines our commitment to development and the future of buildings and construction.
That eye on the future is something that Theben is very proud of, always looking to allow access to energy saving technologies for everyone. KNX building automation has been available for private residential properties for many years, and with LUXORliving Theben can provide a fully integrated Smart Home solution meeting the requirements of the most demanding customer. LUXORliving enables developers to offer high quality, proven, secure home automation for any house at a cost effective level. LUXORliving leaves the choice of switches with you or your customer – finish your houses to your chosen specification, but with all the advantages of a real smart home. LUXORliving enables the developer to bring the added value that home owners are looking for.
Development is not limited to the residential. In a commercial environment management of space is essential. How best to use office space, ensuring effective ventilation without wasting energy can be a challenge. Standard presence detection helps. The Theben thePixa contrast sensor allows you divide space accurately and count users in that space. The optical presence detector thePixa does not work with classic PIR technology, but with very low-resolution images. thePixa recognizes differences in the status of the monitored rooms via image analysis. thePixa detects how many moving objects are in the detection area and counts them. GDPR-compliant, DEKRA-checked and tamper-proof thanks to KNX Data Secure. This information can trigger predefined actions in the KNX building control, such as starting up the ventilation system in a fully occupied meeting room. thePixa brings a whole new dimension to presence detection and floor space management.
So from a “smart” MDU development, to a private home, to an office building, Theben can offer the solution to your control needs.
