ZinCo extend the advantages of green roof technology with the development of support bases for solar panels. With the innovative Solar Base, solar energy can be integrated into green roof systems without penetrating the roof membrane and with the green roof build-up providing the necessary load to keep the structure in place. This “SolarVert“ system makes use of synergy effects, as the efficiency of solar panels is significantly improved if combined with a green roof. The inclusion of solar power can be seen as another valuable ecological benefit and will contribute towards compliance with building regulations, environmental standards and assessments.
