Glass is an endlessly recyclable material
With the building sector being responsible for more than one third of the EU’s carbon emissions and with buildings accounting for over 40% of the energy consumed, we have a significant opportunity to makechange™ in our industry and support the built environment by developing low carbon products such as Pilkington Mirai™ as part of the wider solution.
Performance & aesthetics
Pilkington Mirai™ offers the same appearance, performance and quality as our standard glass products.
*Compared with our standard 4 mm Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear (European baseline).
** The Global Warming Potential (GWP) value is derived from internal calculations. An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Pilkington Mirai™ verified by an independent third party is in preparation. This will be based on a cradle-to-grave and module D approach in accordance with the requirements of EN 15804:2012+A2:2019/AC:2021 and Product Category Rules (PCRs) in accordance with EN 17074:2019.
