This case study shares the lessons learned, innovation approaches, and phased delivery from the retrofit of Scotland’s National Retrofit Centre. The retrofit has reduced the building’s energy demand, decarbonised its heating system with a first-of-its-kind heat pump and solar PVT system, and introduced CLT and modular roof upgrades making the building energy positive and setting a path toward reaching EnerPHit standards.
