AirEx Technologies announced today that AirEx Floorvent has been selected to be part of Procurement for Housing’s Social Housing Emerging Disruptors (SHED) framework.

This means that our housing association and local authority customers can now easily procure AirEx directly and compliantly through the framework.

AirEx is among 21 suppliers to secure a coveted position on this £100 million framework. Additionally, this initiative will assist over 1,000 members of Procurement for Housing to meet the 2030 deadline for achieving EPC rating C for their collective 3.9 million homes. The SHED3 framework, administered by Procurement for Housing (PfH), serves as a vital platform for facilitating partnerships between innovative suppliers and housing providers across the UK. Through this framework, housing associations access much-needed innovative technologies and services designed to enhance the quality, sustainability, and efficiency of social housing.

AirEx is the world’s first smart air brick that helps to mitigate unnecessary heat loss by intelligently controlling airflow to prevent the constant cold draughts created by traditional airbricks. AirEx Floorvent is designed to prevent heat loss through suspended floors. Often suspended timber floors are not factored into social housing retrofit measures, as traditional insulation is expensive and highly disruptive to residents. Floorvent is simple, non-disruptive to install, and a fraction of the cost of other approaches to insulating suspended timber floors.

Our advanced smart ventilation solutions offer social housing landlords and contractors a cost-effective way to prevent underfloor heat loss, reduce energy consumption, and regulate moisture levels. Installing AirEx can also help raise a home’s EPC Rating, by contributing 2-4 SAP points per property.
