Simon Ayers, CEO of TrustMark, has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire Medal (MBE) in the King’s New Year Honours 2024 for his services to consumer protection.

On being informed of his award Simon said: ‘I am immensely grateful and humbled to have been recognised for this great honour. I would like to pay tribute to the TrustMark team for their tireless commitment to delivering the core aims of TrustMark.

Having started my career as an apprentice in the gas industry, I have been lucky to build a wide and varied knowledge of the construction and energy sectors which can now be applied to ensure consumers are afforded choice, comfort and protection when having work completed in their homes.’

Simon joined TrustMark as CEO in 2014 following an accomplished career in the energy and construction industry spanning three decades. Since then, he has successfully navigated the organisation through significant change and growth, earning a reputation for vision and passion and establishing TrustMark as the only Government-endorsed Quality Scheme covering work carried out in or around the home. Operating across the UK, TrustMark is a not-for-profit social enterprise that continually re-invests in the scheme to support Scheme Providers and Registered Businesses to improve consumer protection and standards across all sectors.
