BioPanel Living Wall System

Description

Our patented, modular hydroponic living wall system combines efficient water management with remote sensing technology, which enables us to work with confidence in all climates.

It can be retrofitted as part of a façade refurbishment and incorporated within new buildings as the integral rainscreen cladding element. It can also be used internally.

The living wall system was fully tested in accordance with the requirements for the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology (CWCT) in 2015 and passed all tests for fire, weather tightness, water resistance and wind resistance, confirming its full suitability and compliance for use as a cladding material for commercial and residential buildings.

The BioPanel living wall system uses artificially irrigated and fertigated ‘backless’ vegetated cladding panels complete with Grodan stone wool, the most resilient precision growing medium available for use in living walls. The panels are fixed through a void former and waterproof backing board to cladding rails.

Dripline irrigation is used to precisely control the volume of water our living walls receive, whilst remote monitoring from our office allows the duration, frequency and timing of the irrigation to be meticulously regulated and adapted according to the needs of the plants throughout the year.
