The new Protector series launches at Futurebuild for faster system clean ups

Share product:

Our marine division have launched the Protector series which are ideally suited for land-based installs that require faster clean-up times for heavily corroded closed loop networks. Protectors are based on our traditional technology but with increased flow rates, larger magnets and additional levels of filtration. A permanent 40-micron coarse filtration basket is supplemented with further layers of increasingly finer filtration which can remove particulate to 1 micron. This enables the Protector to speed up the cleaning process of systems that are heavily contaminated and overdosed with chemicals which takes place in situ with no water going to drain.

Especially good for cooling systems the Protector also comes in a digital version offering real time monitoring of pH, conductivity and dissolved oxygen. The data is presented on a digital display panel and can also communicate directly to a BMS system using Modbus protocol. The digital version can also remotely control a solenoid dump valve when the Protector needs flushing.

The anodes are encapsulated by a filter basket making them easier to clean and simpler to service. Currently available in units serving systems from 5,000-70,000 litres and the Maxi up to 70,000, the units can accommodate larger systems by connecting multiple units through manifold sets.

Our use of electrochemistry is seen positively for its removal of the continuous cycle of dosing of chemical inhibitors and biocides when protecting closed loop hydronic networks from corrosion and bacteria. What is not widely recognised is its ability to increase the energy efficiency and performance of these networks. The Norwegian Health Service found an increase in efficiency in their systems of between 3-8% after installing Elysator units. The development of the new series makes the move back to an efficient level of performance even faster.
