Forecasting energy use from buildings – how to go about it (all models are wrong, but some are useful) – curated by LETI

LETI have produced a new publication – the LETI Modelling Guide – which focuses on building energy modelling to forecast the energy use of buildings at design stage. Engaging with this form of modelling is invaluable when designing to meet in-use targets such as Energy Use Intensity (EUI), especially when these are as challenging as LETI targets. The session will provide an overview of the new modelling guide, how it complements the recently revised CIBSE TM54, and some practical examples from LETI pioneers who are currently working to deliver buildings to LETI Climate Emergency Design Guide targets.
