Dr. David Smoker, Technical Director, ACO Water Management
Dr David Smoker has worked in the supply chain side of the water industry for more than 35 years – since before privatisation – with senior positions at various companies. His day job now is Technical Director at ACO Technologies where he champions developments in surface water management and environmental issues. This extends to work on water related standards (BSI, CEN and ISO)
David is a non-executive director of Future Water Association and is active in other supply chain organisations, working with industry colleagues on technical guidelines and codes of practice.
He has a BSc in Chemistry, an MSc in Polymer technology and a PhD in Polymer Rheology. In 2004 he gained an MBA, and was awarded lifetime membership of the International Honors Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
