Mark Pniewski, Thorp Precast Limited 

Mark is a chartered engineer with 15 years’ experience consulting on building structures and facades in the UK and abroad. Mark joined the board of Thorp Precast in September 2021 as Engineering Director with a passion to develop safe, sustainable and beautiful architectural precast concrete. Previously, Mark was Divisional Director for Ramboll UK’s Building Specialists where he led teams across a range of disciplines including facades, fire, sustainability, acoustics, façade access, computational design and advanced analysis, as well the internal digital start-up www.site-solve.co.uk. Notable precast projects Mark has been involved in includes Manchester New Square which pioneered the use of Ultra High Performance Fibre reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC). Mark strongly believes in the potential for digitalisation, material science and offsite manufacture to improve how we engineer cladding panels in concrete for a safe and low carbon future.
