Kate Charrington, Director, Project 3
Kate Charrington is a climate-conscious chartered surveyor with a corporate background in residential survey and valuation. She is a qualified retrofit coordinator and instructor of the Level 3 Certification in Retrofit Advice through Retrofit Academy and Generation UK. She is on the expert working group for the RICS retrofit standard and is eager to support surveyors in understanding how surveying and retrofit can work together.
Kate founded Projekt 3 in 2020 to help residential surveyors deliver more sustainable communities through the provision of more informative survey reports. She actively supports this mission by guiding surveyors to deliver improved detail on aspects of energy and sustainability aligning with Home Survey Standards.
Kate has twice been shortlisted for RICS Young Surveyor of the Year and is interested in driving forward the surveyor’s role in a changing world – particularly when we are seeing increased energy costs and the continuous impact of climate change on the homes we live in.
